Sport Specific Motion Analysis & Gait Analysis

Our extensive 14-camera, high speed, 3D motion-capture system is used to scientifically evaluate the biomechanics of various sport motions at a rate of 500 images per second. These data are then compiled and placed in a data repository of athletes to determine the most optimal biomechanics positioning for avoiding injury and improving human performance. The tests take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the activity.

Prices start at $200 depending on the service, please call 273.7371 or email us for your specific needs.

Runners Clinic Analysis

Runners Clinic AnalysisThis motion capture analysis test includes a full running gait analysis with clinical interpretations and recommendations for reducing injury or repairing current injury. Video capture of your running mechanics will be analyzed for symmetry of your leg and hip motion, ankle and knee mechanics, forces through your leg joints and angle changes of the joints in your lower body. We can accommodate prosthetics and orthotics (shoe inserts) in the analysis. A full report, including a video DVD of your personal exercise test will be provided.

Throwing or Pitching Analysis

Pitching AnalysisIncluding football passing/ quarterbacks We analyze your throwing and pitching mechanics to optimize performance and reduce injury. The results are analyzed and used to enhance overall muscular fitness, reduce the possibility of baseball or football related throwing injuries and improve game performance. Your results are compared to those of professional athletes. One of our Biomedical Engineers will spend time with you to explain the reports in terms that everyone can understand.
Throwing Analysis

Golf Swing Analysis

Golf Swing AnalysisA complete analysis of the biomechanics of the participant golf swing is performed. During the test, full body biomechanical markers are placed on the upper and lower body to track the motion during a full golf club swing. A detailed analysis of the kinematics are generated. The results are analyzed and used to enhance overall muscular fitness, reduce the possibility of golf related injuries and improve in game performance. We also perform post-surgical joint replacement testing to help patients get back into the game!

Smash Factor

For a quick test, find your Smash Factor! - $75
Smash Factor! How efficiently am I striking the ball? What about the pros! Distance and Ball speed are directly related. A Smash Factor evaluation is a quick test that measures how fast you swing the club and with what efficiency you transfer the speed into the ball. Tiger's Smash factor is about 1.75!
What is yours?

An adjunct to the Smash factor evaluation, the Pathfinder Evaluation measures club head speed, ball speed, launch angle and other factors which determine how far and how straight you hit the ball.

Gait Analysis and Foot Pressures - $75

This fun, interactive testing session involves walking or running on a gait mat to determine simple gait measures and foot pressures using the latest technology in portable gait assessment, the "GaitRite"”®. This test can be used to find your walking or running stride patterns, and center of mass as you move; this test is useful for individuals interested in improving your mechanics to reduce injury and determine the effect of exercise training or weight loss on your gait. Depending on the participant needs, tests can be conducted barefoot or with different shoes, canes, walkers or other assistive devices. A full report of your personal testing session will be provided.
Depending on the test, this session will last 45 min-1 hr.
