UF Sports Performance Center

The UF Sports Performance Center (UF SPC) provides motion analyses, exercise and strength testing, and access to training programs with the primary foci being injury prevention and return to sport. Athletes (elite to weekend participate) of all skill levels can benefit from assessments and training programs designed to prevent injuries, assist injured athletes to return to their sport, and help others gain mobility for an improved active lifestyle. The UF SPC activities are provided in the spacious University of Florida Sports Performance Center located in the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Institute.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy for injury prevention and return to play is based on the recognition that everyone is unique. Thus, we use a comprehensive approach that combines principles from various fields, including biomechanics, sports science, and kinesiology. Our primary goal is to understand and evaluate your movement patterns. We will assess your movement to identify potential risk factors that may cause injury and develop strategies to reduce the likelihood of injury. Following an injury, we assess your injury pattern to develop a tailored approach to quickly and safely return you to your sport.
